We don’t make any false claims in saying that we are definitely the coolest people we know.

Many people find out the hard way about “value” when it comes to photography. We just want to show you how we do things around here. We agree that you can go anywhere to get your photos/snaps taken, even some of you have the incredible capability to take your own photo (kudos to the talented peoples).

What we do at smashdog studios is sell you our unique experience and provide to you some of the most incredible imagery possible.

We aren’t your typical photographers, and you will find out quickly that we don’t do much by the book either. We’re a bunch of fun loving girls, rearing to go roll around in the mud-dirt-whatever in order to catch the perfect moment and make it available to you in numerous and funktified formats. We don’t do posey-posey, we get super creative with lighting and crazy backgrounds, and by golly we HATE wicker chairs.

First and foremost we are artists at our trade, we are always trying to kick our way out of that proverbial box that encompasses this industry and crank out new and exciting products and stylings. You will find that many surrounding photographers actually surf our website looking for inspiration, while some professionals guard their secrets closely…we just smile and slowly bob our head up and down. We ain’t mad at ‘cha…were here to inspire.

We’ve even gone as far as Fargo, ND, Butte, MT, Colusa, CA, and Phoenix, AZ, to train photographers to listen to their inner creative monsters and unleash their potential. We have started a crazy concept of “Creators of Digital Image Awesomeness” and have a following so far of 7 national photographers who have trained with us and LOVE our funky style that we have shared with them. We are currently building a separate site for our new products and services that will soon be available to the professional photographer. Our sweet new line of photographic blends and brushes are almost finished and our promotional and marketing packages are just about ready to bust on out.

In one years time we have established a crew of Certified Blog Stalkers who check us out nearly every day and brag about us to all their friends (Current count 386).

People ask us all the time, “How did you develop your funky stylifications?”

The answer is simple yet complicated at the same time.

Jill Schwartz spent the better part of her life on the delivering end of the camera lens. Yes, my good peoples…Jill was a real live fashion model. But, what can you expect from a 6’1” blonde haired, green eyed, German blooded farm girl.

After traveling the world and realizing that there isn’t a better place than right here in Central North Dakota and brought with her the knowledge and expertise that comes along with working with some of the most accomplished fashion photographers and stylists.

It all sort of makes sense now, doesn’t it?
